New Tutorial for A Ribbon Runs Through It from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

I posted another tutorial covering the construction of the corner blocks for A Ribbon Runs Through It.  Those of you who have kits may want to work ahead, and make a few of these blocks for a change of pace.

After I make each component, I place it on the block layout sheet in the correct orientation.  This sheet helps to eliminate errors.

Prior to cutting, I spray my fabric with Faultless Heavy Duty Spray Starch.  It makes all the difference in the world.  After I thoroughly soak the fabric with starch, I let it dry on this ...

Making Memories and Making an Heirloom from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

I added the directions to the tutorial showing you how to make  Double Flying Geese for A Ribbon Runs Through It.  You can see the expanded tutorial by clicking on A Ribbon Runs Through It Block #1 at the top of my blog.

I've become a firm believer in starching the fabrics first before cutting.  It makes the construction of this component so much easier, and it is flatter than a pancake.  There are (12) Double Flying Geese in each one of the blocks, and I make them (4) at a time.
